Chevrolet Epica pictures

Chevrolet Epica wallpaper, photos, images and pictures. Chevrolet Epica lauch at the Geneva Motor Show (March 2 – 12, 2006) will be accompanied by three other important "firsts". To begin with, it is the first car that Chevrolet Europe will put on the market with a six-cylinder engine. Secondly, it will be the first transversally installed in-line six in the mid-size category in Europe, and finally, in early 2007, it will become available with a diesel engine. Boasting a comprehensive range of comfort and safety equipment, the new four-door Epica is scheduled for distribution in early summer 2006. Compared with its predecessor, the Evanda, the front-wheel Epica has grown in stature. The length of 4,804 mm (plus 34 mm), width of 1,807 mm and height of 1,449 mm, in combination with the wheelbase of 2,700 mm, guarantee a generous amount of space inside for the passengers and luggage. For the latter, the trunk has a capacity of 435 l (according to the VDA standard). With its asymmetrically split, folding rear seat backrest and an armrest opening for such items as skis, the new Epica is also well equipped for carrying difficult items. In early 2007, Chevrolet will add the option of a 2.0-litre four-cylinder common-rail turbo diesel to its list of engines. This power plant has been developed jointly by GM Daewoo and GM Powertrain. It generates 150 hp and develops its maximum torque of 310 Nm at 2,000 rpm. A particle filter will also be available.

Lexus LF-A Roadster concept Wallpaper, photos, images and pictures. The LF-A is a 2-door exotic concept car built as a prospective halo car for the Lexus division. The LF-A's 4.8 liter engine produces an estimated 552 horsepower (411 kW), propelling it to a top speed of approximately 210 miles per hour (336 km/h). It debuted at the 2005 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS). A revised version with more completely furnished interior was unveiled at the 2007 NAIAS as a possible future member of the Lexus F marque performance lineup. Toyota has given the LF-A concept car the green-light for production. Prototypes of the LF-A had been spotted being tested at the Nürburgring, the famous motorsport race track in Nürburg, Germany. The production vehicles are expected to carry V10 engines, putting the car in market competition with the Lamborghini Gallardo, Ferrari F430, the Porsche 911 (997), and the Chevrolet Corvette C6 ZR1. Pricing is estimated at $225,000. In 2007, Lexus GB director Steve Settle confirmed that both a V10 and hybrid version of the LF-A would be produced. The hybrid version, combining a petrol engine with electric motors, would likely feature a V8 powertrain similar to that designed for the Lexus LS 600h L.

Lexus LF-A Roadster launched On January 13, 2008. Lexus displayed a roadster version of the LF-A concept car designated LF-A Roadster or LF-AR. Initial specifications for the roadster are a V10 engine under 5.0 L with over 500 hp and a top speed of over 200 mph. The vehicle was shown for the first time at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. The LF-A Roadster was also revealed to have a retractable rear spoiler for improved handling at speed.

Hot Jaguar S-Type Photos

Jaguar S-Type wallpaper, photos, images and pictures. The Jaguar S-Type, introduced at the 1998 Birmingham Motor Show, is a mid-size luxury/executive car, the car went on sale 1999. The name was a revival of a previous Jaguar model, the S-Type introduced in 1963, while the bodywork appeared to have been inspired by the Jaguar Mark 2 of the same period. The supercharged S-Type R joined the lineup in 2003 and the hope was that it would compete with the likes of BMW's M5 and the Mercedes E55 AMG. The "R" was powered by a supercharged V8 producing 390 hp (290 kW; 400 PS) , and could accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (97 km/h) in 5.3 s (0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 5.6 s). It included 18 in (457 mm) alloy wheels, wire-mesh grille and dramatic monochromatic paint. The "R" also has a sportier rear apron, side-skirts, and front apron with built-in fog-lamps, a rear spoiler, a brace located near the rear subframe, and "R" badging on the boot lid and both front wings. It was the most expensive S-Type, with a base price of £50,040 in the UK (US$58,995 in the United States).

Isuzu Axiom

Isuzu Axiom SUV Car

Isuzu Axiom car photos, images and pictures. The Isuzu Axiom was an SUV designed in Japan using a "knife blade" theme for its car-like styling. Built in Lafayette, Indiana, U.S. at the joint Subaru-Isuzu plant on the Rodeo platform. It jointly replaced the Trooper, but was itself replaced by the Isuzu Ascender for the 2005 model year. The name "Axiom" was determined by a naming contest held by Isuzu, and was won by Dr. Hakan Urey from Redmond, Washington, who suggested the name and won his own Axiom in 2001. The Axiom is available with a torque on demand four-wheel drive system, and a direct-injection engine was added in 2004, boosting power from 230 to 250 hp (172 to 186 kW). The Axiom's radical styling was too extreme for some although a surprising number of its design elements later found their way into SUVs from other manufacturers. Unfortunately, under the Axiom's cutting-edge body was the largely unchanged Rodeo chassis, which was judged to be crude by critics. The stylish body was also available only as a luxury entry which limited the sales market. The Axiom was discontinued in July 2004 after only three years of production, and the Lafayette plant became exclusively home to build just Subarus. It was retooled to build the Subaru B9 Tribeca. With the retirement of the Rodeo and Axiom, Isuzu, which once sold a complete line of cars, trucks and SUVs, no longer offered any Japanese-built consumer vehicles in the United States. From 2006-2009, the lineup consisted only of rebadged General Motors vehicles: a GMC Canyon pickup and GMC Envoy SUV. Isuzu began its withdrawal from North American markets, with Canada after the 2002 model year, followed by the United States after the 2009 model year. Also, the Axiom was never sold in Canada.
